2021 was filled with celebrations–from weddings to graduations to birthday parties and more. Everyone was looking forward to joyous occasions with friends and family. At Park Avenue Events, we had the opportunity to plan so many amazing events in 2021. As we reflect on the year and prepare for 2022, here are some highlights from our Atlanta event planning services!
College Graduation Party
With so many 2020 graduates unable to attend a graduation ceremony or host a party, I was so excited to plan this 2021 college graduation event. We went all out, and the graduate–Jasmine–deserved it. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Spelman College, and we intentionally infused school pride into her graduation party design, from the colors to the cake to the decorations.
Social events should be creative, customized, and, most importantly, fun. Park Avenue Event’s Atlanta event planning services include curating social events like graduation parties so that you, your loved ones, or your friends are celebrated in the way they deserve.
30th Destination Birthday Party
Many people consider 30 a milestone year, so we made sure to go above and beyond for Regina’s 30th with a destination birthday party at a vacation home with a pool. Plus, we coordinated an afternoon yacht ride and a classy evening dinner! Rather than just decorating one room, we ensured the celebration extended throughout the space, onto the patio overlooking the pool, and on the yacht. To further customize this event, we featured “30” specific decorations in her favorite color–blue–and ordered customized summertime goodies that said, “Regina’s 30th,” which made the perfect take-home items for guests and memorabilia for Regina.
Hiring an Atlanta event planner to customize your friend or family member’s (or your own!) birthday party ensures the event is creative and fun! Plus, with a pro taking care of all the details, you can focus on celebrating the person of the day!
Atlanta Destination Wedding
A destination wedding in Atlanta? Yes, please. We brought together the best of Georgia and the vibes of a destination wedding for this celebration. Everything about the venue–Barnsley Resort in Adairsville, GA–is picturesque, and it made for the perfect atmosphere for Kathryn and Nathan’s nuptials. This outdoor venue did not disappoint in any way. The ceremony took place on the steps leading to the renowned Ruins of Barnsley Resort. And the reception was hosted in the open-air Pavilion of Barnsley Resort, covered with greenery and hanging lights, creating the perfect atmosphere. The couple wanted a romantic wedding with some non-traditional elements sprinkled throughout (which is evident from the bridal party’s customized jean jackets), and that’s exactly what they got.
Weddings should be exquisite, one-of-a-kind events executed with precision. Our Atlanta wedding planning services include a carefully crafted, personalized experience and elements to ensure each couple’s wedding vision comes to life perfectly.
Atlanta Modern Wedding
Lavonne and Tony’s modern wedding in Atlanta was everything chic, stylish, and fun, which describes this lovely couple as well. Although many of the weddings in 2021 were definitely smaller in the guest count, they weren’t in personality, and this wedding was no different. Lavonne and Tony’s closest friends and family gathered wearing all black (per the couple’s request) to add to the vibe of the evening. The wedding took place at the Wahoo! Grill in Decatur, GA. The ceremony was in the restaurant’s Garden Room–an open-air garden venue–followed by an intimate reception on the patio with a tented area for dancing. The most unique and special moment from this celebration was when the guests surrounded the newly married couple and sent them off on their journey covered in prayers, songs, and blessings.
Atlanta Winter Wedding
One of my favorite parts of working with many amazing couples is getting to know their unique style and designing a wedding that feels like them. For Janelle and Matt, that meant a rustic-chic winter wedding at Montaluce Winery & Restaurant in North Georgia. Everything came together perfectly, from the gorgeous indoor ceremony in the wine production room to the deep-colored winter decor to the reception inside the restaurant. One of the many benefits of having a winter wedding in Atlanta is that it typically costs less for vendors and venues because it’s considered “off-season” for weddings. That means, like Janelle and Matt, you can have your dream wedding within your budget. Romance filled the air, and joy surrounded the evening as these two married in front of their loved ones for an intimate and truly special celebration.
